dwabi is an independent studio making games that respect your time: worlds worth wandering, challenges you can take at your own pace, and nothing waiting to punish you for stopping to look around.

There's challenge, and even a little danger, but a setback costs you time, never your progress.

Play for ten minutes or a whole evening. The world waits for you.

Soft light, a gentle score, and space to simply look around.
Why dwabi
Don’t Worry About It
That’s where our name comes from. It’s what you say to a friend to let them off the hook, and it’s how we want our games to feel.
Games have always been where we go to unwind: the hour at the end of a long day when a world on a screen lets everything else go quiet. dwabi exists to make that kind of game on purpose.
Not games without challenge or stakes, but games that respect your time and your mood. Forgiving when things go wrong, meaningful when they go right, and never in a rush.
Our logo is a mote of light with a couple of companions drifting nearby: the same light you can touch at the top of this page.
How we make games
dwabi is independent and self-funded. There’s no publisher setting deadlines, so we can take the time a game like this needs.
Every game is built in phases, each with a clear goal. Nothing moves on until it’s been played, checked, and feels right.
Each world has a lore bible. If something in the game has no reason in the story, we give it one, or we question whether it belongs.
An art guide sets the rules every model, colour and screen is judged against, so the whole world hangs together.
Modern tools help a small team build worlds this size. Every creative decision, from a creature’s temper to the colour of its light, is ours.
Our first game
Home is failing, and the answer may lie on a far world. As Explorer 62, read the life of a wild alpine valley by day and by night, survive its darker hours, and send what you learn home.

What’s next
Our games play in your browser, starting on desktop and laptop. Open a page and step straight in.
The first world: a wild alpine valley, and the start of Explorer 62’s journey. In development.
Embers of Dawn is episodic, and each new episode takes the story a world further. There’s also a brand new game in the works, and we’re excited about it. More on that soon.
Several other games are already in the concept phase. We’ll share them when they’re ready.
Calm isn’t the absence of play. It’s play without the pressure.
